String memories
On a Casio calculator there are 20 string memories available, called Str 1 ⁓ Str 20.
Be sure to select SET UP Input/Output Line.
Explanation
A string is a series of characters enclosed in double quotes. Stored strings can be output to the display or used inside functions and commands that support the use of strings as arguments. A string made up of numbers (like "123") or an expression (like "x − 1") cannot be processed as a calculation.

To assign string "ABC" to Str 1
A-LOCK ▷ Str SHIFT ALPHA ٬٬ A B C ٬٬ ALPHA ➞ VARS F6 F5 1 EXE "ABC"➔Str 1 Done

To enter the string "123"
